Hyperloop (Brief)

◉ Future Transportation

Hyperloop represents High Efficiency in transporting passengers between Cities, and possibly Countries.

Efficiency is provided by:

▪ Speed

Elon Musk’s vision of a futuristic transportation system of magnetically levitating pods through nearly airless tubes at speeds of up to 1,223 km/h a reality.

Without stops

The perspective in the Express version is obvious, people choose the starting point and the ending point, due to which the transport travels without stops.

▪ Eco-friendly

Electronic engine, zero emissions
Future Energy is provided by Solar, Wind, Sea Wave, Geothermal energy. This brings Future Technologies together and creates the Future World image.

▪ Savings

It is planned to raise $25 million from the sale of surplus energy annually, which will create an additional source of financing for operating costs. As a result, a one-way ticket should cost $20, and with a total system cost of $7.5 billion, the project will be recouped in 20 years.

▪ Security

In case of Emergency Situations
• An electric compressor is located in the nose of the capsule behind the fan - it must accumulate compressed air on board in case of depressurization (in this case, the cylinders will inevitably heat up to 585° C; they are planned to be cooled with water, 400 kg of water will be required for a one-way trip.
• The stern contains 1.5 tons of batteries, the charge of which will last for 45 minutes - this is enough to get to the nearest station in case of power outages.

| History of Hyperloop

The first project for the movement of trains in a vacuum was proposed in Russia in 1911 by the Russian scientist Boris Weinberg. According to his plan, a capsule was supposed to move inside the tube from which the air was evacuated. It was set in motion with an "electromagnetic gun" and theoretically could reach speeds of 800-1000 km/h. The scientist conducted experiments at the Tomsk Institute of Technology to move a capsule in a tube, but the First World War prevented the implementation of the idea.

In general, the history of the movement of trains in a vacuum is described in many sources long before 2013, which is reflected in the publication "Professor Weinberg's Magnetic Aircraft".

| Start

Musk first mentioned Hyperloop in an interview with Sarah Lacey in July 2012 at the PandoDaily event in Santa Monica. The entrepreneur promised that the new vehicle will be 2 times faster than an airplane and 3-4 times faster than a high-speed train, the travel time from Los Angeles to San Francisco (561 km in a straight line) will take only 30 minutes.

Later, Musk made a number of other high-profile statements: the project would be 10 times cheaper than the California High-Speed Rail; transport will not be prone to accidents; the road must be powered by solar energy; passengers do not have to adjust to the schedule, because transport capsules will move at short intervals, like in the subway; all specifications will be freely available. Finally, in August 2013, a 58-page "alpha" version of the project was published.

Elon Musk presented his idea as the fifth mode of transport after train, plane, car and ship.

The Hyperloop is a proposed mode of passenger and freight transportation, first used to describe an open-source vactrain design released by a joint team from Tesla and SpaceX. Hyperloop is a sealed tube or system of tubes with low air pressure through which a pod may travel substantially free of air resistance or friction. The Hyperloop could convey people or objects at airline or hypersonic speeds while being very energy efficient. This would drastically reduce travel times versus trains as well as planes over distances of under approximately 1,500 kilometres (930 miles).

In practice, many technical problems come to light such as Heating, Air Mass, Road Line Features and more.
But in general, solutions can be found.
